We are a young award-winning non-profit organisation that is dedicated to preserving the environment and reducing plastic pollution, with more that 4,000 volunteers in over 100 countries. If you have a passion for leading others, and for the preservation of our environment, we are looking for a Area Directors to help us set up and manage a local PlasticBusters group in their assigned area.

As an Area Director, you will be responsible for:

Setting up and managing a local PlasticBusters group in your chosen area

Recruiting volunteers and engaging with them to promote the mission of PlasticBusters

Organizing regular litter cleanups in your area

Following the guidelines published on the PlasticBusters website on how to organize a safe activity ("Tips to Enjoy a Safe Cleanup")

The expectation is to organise at least one monthly activity (typically one to two hours).

Educating people on the importance of taking care of the environment and raising awareness about the activity on social media, radio, newspapers, etc.

Collaborating with other teams in our organization to ensure that the cleanups are aligned with our overall mission.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in managing volunteers or organizing events

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Passion for the environment and a desire to make a difference

Ability to work independently.

This is a volunteer position that can be done anywhere in the world. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the environment and loves to lead others, committed to our mission, and willing to make a meaningful impact!.
